Interesting premise... but it prompts the question : if our 'formative' years are so paramount, is there any hope for change in those already entrenched in bad habits, poor worldviews and destructive patterns? Where is the demarcation between the formative and the formed, and when is it too late to change?
I think there's always hope for those who are passionate and dedicated to changing what has become entrenched. It is because of this passion and dedication that I believe we have the ability, and more importantly acquired the capability, to have an affect on our children who can then have an even more impactful effect on future generations by digging up and discarding what was once entrenched. It just starts with the recognition.
